We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamar Zachery and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamar, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
I disagree with the idea of needing a product or service to be completely finished before selling it in the marketplace. Successful entrepreneurs have the ability to sell their vision first, then go recruit the right team to make that product or service a reality.
What should our readers know about your business?
I help Realtors attract clients by using digital marketing. Being an entrepreneur, I know what it’s like to start a business and not have a clue where to find paying customers. My background in the network marketing profession groomed me perfectly to solve that problem for myself as well as others. During the pandemic, I had time to get a deeper understanding of digital marketing and how to attract clients without having a huge network of friends and family. My journey has been simple, but not easy. I lost my mom at the end of 2019 while I was growing another company. It was a very difficult moment in my life. I learned that we don’t really know how strong we are, until strong is the only option. I bring that up because I want readers to know that they should take action on their ideas instead of waiting for the perfect time. Instead of waiting for a moment when you believe you will be strong, move forward now and discover that you’re stronger than you know. Procrastination and perfectionism is a tricky their that will rob you of growth.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Start out with Sunday brunch at Roc South. You can’t go wrong with the shrimp and grits. Catching a Braves game would be ideal, then afterwards head over to BURN for drinks and cigars. Monday would be great to hit up Bar Vegan with friends and watch football. Taco Tuesday we’d check out Velvet Taco and walk over to Gypsy Kitchen for drinks. Wednesday we’d visit Negril ATL for some incredible Caribbean food then move our way over to Top Golf to network with clients. Thursday we’ll go see the Hawks play and afterwards head over to Fellaship for drinks and cigars. The pregame meal for Friday would have to be Tom Dick and Hank. They have some of the best BBQ in the city. Later that evening I’d call up a friend that can get us access to the red phone booth, which is a cool speakeasy spot in Buckhead. I’d finish the trip on Saturday with an educational visit to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. That’s what a trip to ATL would consist of.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family. I’ve always had tremendous support from my family throughout my career. It’s very important that you have the right people in your corner and sometimes it’s not a mentor. Mentors are great, but it’s special to have people in your corner that can infuse belief in you and your abilities even when you’re occupied by self doubt.
