We had the good fortune of connecting with Kali Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kali, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Accountability. One of the most challenging things about being an entrepreneur is finding ways to hold oneself accountable. We, the founders of D.O.P.E. Enterprises have come together to develop a system that helps us to do just that. It is critical for entrepreneurs to find an accountability partner, to set goals and daily reminders. Most importantly, it is important to perform daily and weekly check-ins — because after all, it has been clear for a long time that mastering accountability is one of the greatest secrets to entrepreneurial success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
D.O.P.E. Enterprises is an independent record label that was founded by a society of artists and entrepreneurs who own and operate businesses within an array of industries and other creative fields. What sets us apart from other labels is that we are independently owned and operated which is certainly something that our founders are excited to share. Of course, being independent comes with its own set of challenges that by educating ourselves we have developed the tools for our label to experience longevity and for our label to be successful. One lesson that we have learned along the way is that teamwork is necessary and is the single most important factor behind the success of our business. Each player within our company brings to the table the gift of creativity and what you see from our products and services is a collaboration of that creativity and talent fused together into what has become our brand and ultimately our mission of empowering artists by cultivating a community of owners and entrepreneurs through business initiatives and through access to educational resources.
