Meet KALANDRIA ARCHIE | Serial Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with KALANDRIA ARCHIE and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KALANDRIA, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly, I never thought of myself as a business owner. Growing up, especially in my community, you’re not taught entrepreneurship nearly as much as working for someone else. I was working for other companies always promoted and placed in leadership positions, and I was frustrated about how they were running their businesses. I would give input that could help improve sales, and employee retention, but it fell on deaf ears. Non Suprisingly, one company did suffer and was forced to close, leaving employees with no job and no other opportunities at that time with such short notice which was out of my control. I then realized I was ready to see if I could do it on my own. It was just believing in myself enough to get it done to gain a little more control over my destiny. My reason was to start the right business and support my assignment to help people. The goal was to start one that complimented my gifts and provided the freedom, satisfaction and flexibility I needed as a young single mom of four. With no money and after a talk with God, I got started.
What should our readers know about your business?
In 2008, I opened Shear Essence Beauty & Barber . We specialized in a diverse clientele customer base providing upscale hair services. In 2009, I opened my 1st Tax and Accounting Firm in which today we currently have 3 brick and motar locations and servicing all States virtually. I’m also Owner /Executive Director of Kidz 1st Level Learning Center. We offer a unique creative program specializing in state of the art learning for ages 6weeks to 12 years of age. I’m also the Founder of LanBusiness Solutions in which I assist individuals/ businesses with financial planning, business start up, and a variety of business coaching classes.
Whats unique about my services is that I consult with my clients individually to create a strategy based on their individual need.
I got where I am today by making my clients my #1 priority. I listen and and I deliver. I focus more on customer satisfaction verses my bottom line.
Opening a business was not easy at all. I made it through a lot of obstacles by researching, implementing different strategies, and trusting in God. The start-up process was the most challenging as it required confident faith to continue planing, building and executing the vision.
I learned that if you want it bad enough, you have to be willing to go through whatever it takes. You have to believe in your dream and you can never give up on you. . I felt confident in my decision to move towards faith and I knew it was no turning back.
ay. I realized all new beginnings has challenges and the best way to overcome them is movement.
I want the world to know that my brand is a reflection of me and my story is a testimony that is yet to be written. My story will be an inspiration to many as well as a new beginning..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to The Atlantic Station, Four Seasons Full Spa, The Garden Room, and to Piedmont Park Downtown!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God deserves all the credit and glory. He has been my strength, my mentor, and my provider. Starting a business is a commitment and requires dedication, resources and sacrifice. There will be some good days and plenty of bad days, but during your entire journey, prayer and faith is going to be the solution to it all.
