Meet Kadin Collins | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kadin Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kadin, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business came from a mixture of creativity, inspiration, and wanting to make cool, unique products. When I was nine, I got inspired by my mom’s business, and that’s when I decided to start my own! I started my company in September 2023, and I wanted to honor my mom and my grandparents who aren’t here anymore by including them in my business. I even picked the colors—pink, purple, and blue—because those were my grandparents’ favorite colors. My business, Kraftzbykadin, is all about love, care, and dedication, which makes it super special.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What makes Kraftzbykadin special? Kraftzbykadin is different because it’s made for everyone—even pets! My collection includes vegan lip gloss, lip scrubs, and pet paw balm so both people and pets can feel happy when they use my products. Everything I make comes from my heart, with lots of love, and care. Every batch is made by hand, without a machine, and freshly made for each order.

My lip products help bring out natural beauty and make people feel confident! I included words of affirmation in the names of the lip products as a thoughtful way to elevate customer experience. This not only adds a personal touch but positivity and self-confidence. I want everyone to feel beautiful and empowered from the moment they choose to use it.

What are you most proud of or excited about?
I’m so proud that something that started as an idea is now real! It’s exciting to see people enjoy what I’ve created. I also love that I turned something sad into something creative and special.

How did you start your business?
I started Kraftzbykadin after getting an idea and being inspired by watching my mom become an entrepreneur. Seeing my mom work hard and follow her dreams made me want to create something special too! That’s how Kraftzbykadin was born—a business built with creativity, passion, and a desire to make products that everyone (even pets!) can enjoy. It took a lot of hard work, but I made it happen!

Was it easy? If not, how did you get through the hard parts?
It was not easy; it was really hard. I lost a grandparent every year from 2022 to 2024, and that was really sad. But instead of giving up, I used my feelings to be even more creative. I wanted to make them proud! My family helped me stay strong and I kept going because I believed in my dream.

What did you learn?
Never give up! Even when things are hard, keep going.
Having good people around you helps a lot.
Hard times can make you even more creative!
Stay true to what you love, and don’t change just to fit in.

What do you want people to know about you and Kraftzbykadin?
Kraftzbykadin isn’t just another cosmetic brand—it’s made with love and meaning to make everyone feel special! Instead of creating products for just one group of people, I make them for everyone—even pets! Because no matter who you are, you deserve to feel beautiful and confident!

I also care a lot about what goes into my products! Every ingredient is selected carefully to be safe, work well, and help your skin feel great. My story as an eleven-year-old is proof that if you believe in your dreams, anything is possible!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, I would make sure we had the most fun ever! Here’s what our week would look like:

Day 1 – Welcome Party!
Pick them up and have a pizza party at my house! Next play games and end the night with a movie night and tons of snacks.

Day 2 –
Eat pancakes and waffles for breakfast. Then go to the aquarium and finish the day with dinner at the Sugar Factory.

Day 3 – Water Park Fun-Great Wolf Lodge
Eat waffles for breakfast and head out early. Spend the whole day at the water park.

Day 4 – Amusement Park- Six Flags
Wake up early and grab breakfast sandwiches before heading out. Then, ride every roller coaster possible and win prizes at the game booths!

Day 5 – Shopping & Creativity Day
Go out for smoothies or boba teas to start the day. Next, go to the mall (Mall of Georgia) to pick out matching outfits. Then, spend the afternoon doing DIY crafts and making lip gloss. At the end, have a mini photoshoot showing off our new outfits and creations!

Day 6 – Sports & Games
Grab a quick bagel or cereal and head to a trampoline park-Skyzone! Next, play laser tag, go-kart racing, or bowling at Main Event. Eat a burger and fries’ lunch at Red Robin. Finally, end the day with a dance party and a sleepover!

Day 7 – Memory Day (Last Day)
Have brunch at IHOP and talk about our favorite part of the trip. Next, paint figurines at Incha Duck Ink and eat Ramen noodles. Then, go home to print out photos from the week and make a scrapbook or TikTok video!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The people who really helped me start Kraftzbykadin are my mom, Kenya Collins, my Aunt Dr. Sandra Cornelius, and K. Bass. They all played a huge part in making it happen! My mom encouraged me daily and kept me motivated. My aunt gave her time and lots of smart ideas. KB helped set up groups to test and improve the products. Without them, I couldn’t have done it!
The last three years have been really hard because I lost a grandparent each year from 2022 to 2024. But that made me even more creative! I wanted to make something they would all be proud of—something for everyone, not just one group of people.
