We had the good fortune of connecting with Kachina Seltzer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kachina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business is a lot of work but starting a business that allows one to help a need is pretty awesome! My thoughts behind starting my business was initially just to cure my sons of their skin irritants not so much a business.
My sons were born with eczema, allergies and asthma which along the way realize a lot of others have the same three issues. I felt if I can ease the skin irritants, that be half the battle taken care of.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business started back in 2011. I have a family history of sensitive skin but when my sons were born they were born with eczema, allergies and asthma which is a trio combination of what boost skin irritants within the four seasons. Each season takes on a new reason for my many selections of natural soaps and Shea Butter Based Whipped Hair & Body Butters. They have been known to tame eczema, relax tired muscles, soothe dry/cracked skin along with infusion of the skins natural moisture. I absolutely LOVE what my brand represents and I am most proud that it’s a product line to help others with their own skin irritants. My hope is that others find me and become aware that my products are not only soothing but helpful for the entire family and total body
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to downtown Long Beach. Long Beach has really changed over the years…a lot of amazing restaurants such as Parkers Lighthouse, Tequilla Jacks, boat rides, walks alongside the beach, shopping areas just to name a few! Then I’d head over to Marina Del Rey at Admirality Way where there’s more boat rides, more exciting restaurants such as the Warehouse, Cheesecake Factory, Killer Shrimp etc.. I would definitely show my friend how exciting Los Angeles County really is… we’d go downtown LA and shop till we drop and after all that go to a local spa to relax after visiting all these wonderful places!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out myself… myself because I pride myself in finding a cure to tame eczema, myself because I work countless amount of hours to ensure every detail, every ingredient, every part from the beginning to end is perfect for each customer. I pride myself in my business
