We had the good fortune of connecting with K J and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi K, what are you inspired by?
My family inspires me. I want more for us in life, to do things that my parents weren’t able to do. I also want to set an example for my son. To go after his goals and dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
Patience and being able to accept that everything happens when it’s supposed to has been something that is very hard to do as a business owner. It becomes even more hard when you see other small businesses blowing up. Something that I remember is, it’s only one me. I love to get to know my customers and show them my personality instead of just focusing on a sale. Selling online can be a challenge in itself so I think it’s important to be genuine and people will come to you. If you treat them right, they will keep coming back. Running a business is not easy. It’s many ups and downs but it’s worth it to say this is something that I have built from the ground up. Beautee Within You is only two years old but I’m looking forward to many more years and being able to build many friendships, partnerships, and loyal customer relationships.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were to visit, I would definitely start with taking her to San Diego. My brother and I took a quick trip there one weekend and went to one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. I find the beach so relaxing and peaceful, a good place to clear your mind and meditate. We would also head towards Voodoo Doughnuts in Hollywood. Afterwards, we would probably do some sightseeing and grab some dinner. Everyday that she is visiting, we would find something to do and of course make time for relaxing and a little pampering.

I’m very much an explorer and risk taker so I find people that like to enjoy life exciting. Let’s go somewhere we’ve never been or try out a new restaurant or bar.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My brother helped and is still helping me along my journey. He also has a business, Blue Drip Co. Raising money to do activities within the community. I have a few small businesses within social media that are so supportive. I want to say thank you to Natrell Essentials for supporting me in so many ways. I absolutely love when we can uplift each other.
