We had the good fortune of connecting with Julita Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julita, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Juvenile Offender Advocate provides a voice to the voiceless. We advocate on behalf of the marginalized youth who are currently in the juvenile court system. Most of these youth are dealing with unresolved trauma. We advocate for them while also providing guidance and resources. We provide social emotional classes that include Anger Management, Character Development, Parenting classes and Moral Reconation Therapy.

Each of our participants can attend Athens Technical College for free in Welding, Fork Lift Driving, Maintenance, Technology, Logistics and CDL.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Juvenile Offender Advocate Inc. JOA is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) dedicated to advocating for juvenile offenders with the purpose of reducing the recidivism rate.

I am most excited about me actually seeing a 15 year old vision come to fruition.

No this was not easy! I have overcome earlier fears by being consistent and resilient.

Networking is very important in the nonprofit world.

I would like the world to visit the website.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God deserves all of the credit and recognition!
