We had the good fortune of connecting with Julie Wojenski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Julie, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Wayne and I still have a heavy schedule each month, in this business when it rains it pours and we love what we do! We shoot for two different magazines and do a long list of other project such as Marketing Photo sessions, Headshots and Events. Keeping a Healthy Balance does have its challenges, but together time and family time will always be number one. I have learned over the years it’s okay to say No, it’s hard but over scheduling isn’t Wise for anyone, Quality over quantity is how I see it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Wayne and I love people, there is nothing better than capturing moments that last a lifetime, we make it fun and very relaxed! We really don’t rush the Photo Shoot , I think that sets us apart, if it takes longer well than that’s okay. My background was in Retail Management, so staging was my thing , Wayne has been a Photographer for over 25 years so we became powerful together and we really believe that beautiful souls deserve beautiful images, that’s who we are. We have learned that tomorrow is another day, it’s just that simple.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, when friends visit we go downtown Alpharetta and Canton Street, Roswell. Both areas have music ,the restaurants we love are 1920 and from the earth and Deep Roots. We go to Wills Park and walk the trail and watch the horses at the equestrian center.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Mother Sally Martell was my biggest supporter in my life, she passed away over 20 years ago but I still hear her wisdom ! She always made me feel like I could do it all. She was so ahead of her time and always said what’s the worst thing that could happen, if they say No, keep trying until they say Yes.
