We had the good fortune of connecting with Juanita McClain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juanita, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I have ever made was opening up to the world about my past journey which included a lot of years of pain and suffering.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I am most proud of is the joy and gratitude i feel when i know that i have helped someone else through sharing my own personal experiences in my writing.

What I have learned is that nothing comes easy, hardwork and dedication is the only way to make it to success. I want the world to know that through any hardship or disparities you can find success as long as you have a plan and stay consistent with it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my former co-worker James Romanowski for playing a huge part in my success. With support, encouragement and editing of my work, he made me feel capable of accomplishing my dream.
