Meet Joshua Steez | Artist & Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Steez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The idea of starting my own business was born from the realization that my creativity is too boundless to be confined. Over the years, family and friends often reminded me of the potential they saw in me, and after navigating different jobs throughout college, it became clear—I wasn’t made to follow someone else’s path. I longed for the freedom to design my own life, to wake up each day and shape my world on my terms. The call to create, to lead, and to forge something uniquely my own became impossible to ignore.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an artist who draws inspiration from the intricate rhythms of life, transforming emotions and experiences into creations that resonate deeply. While I explore many mediums, acrylic painting is where my soul feels most at home. I approach my craft with an open mind and an eagerness to discover new techniques, always seeking fresh ways to bring my ideas to life. Each brushstroke is a reflection of my thoughts, my feelings, and the moments that shape me. Painting is more than a passion—it’s a sanctuary, a form of expression that soothes and grounds me. One of the many lessons I’ve learned is the importance of being fully present in my work. Honestly, I’m still discovering what I want the world to know about me and my story—I simply want to remain organic and let people see the unfiltered, raw version of myself. This is a journey I’ve only just begun, one I intend to embrace for the rest of my life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area and I wanted to show them the best time ever I would start off by taking them to the Chattahoochee River to go tubing, Six Flags, and White Waters for the adventurous parts. I would take them to the High Museum of Art and a couple of other art galleries around town. If they were interested in the night life and club scene I would take them to El Malo, MJQ, Havana, and possibly the Battery. For food, my top places would be Rreal Tacos, Woody’s Cheesesteaks, Hattie B’s, and more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to God most importantly. I also want to dedicate this to my family, my girl friend, and my friends who all believe in me and support me. Adebunmi Gbadebo and Ren Dillard are also big artists and friends that’s have guided me and shined their wisdom upon me.
