Hi Joshua & Shantrece, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is trusting god. We’ve always believed god had a plan for us to impact people threw our creative gift. Our goal has always been to remain authentic and professional, while remaining humble. We hope threw our story, we can inspire other couples to walk in your purpose and don’t let fear be the reason you stop achieving your dreams.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Trece: God gifted me with the ability to draw and paint at a very early age. As a child, it was a hobby that grew into a passion, which led me to study graphic design. After 10+ years working as a professional graphic designer and now a new mom, I could not imagine a better time to take the leap of faith and start my own business. My husband having a music background was the cherry on top! I asked if he would partner with me in starting our own picnic business and the rest was history.

As a respected musician and painter, we have merged our creative minds to bring you an unmatched picnic experience. Unlike any other picnic company, we offer unique packages that include live music and several picnic and paint options, led by a professional paint instructor.

Starting a business in itself is challenging, but with every challenge that has come our way we have been able to handle it quite well. It’s easy having one another to lean on. My husband has the patience of job and is usually the one calming me down in stressful situations. I am learning every day that no one is perfect and it is unhealthy to put that amount of pressure on myself or anyone else. Every mistake is a lesson learned for the next opportunity and I am grateful for that.

We are two very passionate individuals, who love sharing our gift with others. We believe in creating a luxury picnic experience that everyone can enjoy. Teepee Picnics Atlanta is the brainchild of two creative minds that put top tier service first to insure a memorable experience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What we love about Atlanta is that it gives you the best of both worlds, from the night life in midtown, to hiking outdoors at Stone Mountain, or enjoying an evening boat ride on Lake Lanier. Some of our favorite restaurants are The Flying Biscuit, Grub Burgers, American Deli, and for some good ol fashion soul food, we love to eat at This Is It! BBQ & Seafood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We’ve had the pleasure of connecting with so many awesome people in Atlanta. It’s inspiring to see so many small businesses strive, utilize their gifts. First, we would like to recognize our sister @msuniquefit. She took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta to be a personal trainer. Yes, she probably doesn’t know this but her unmatched work ethic is an inspiration to us. We also dedicate this shoutout to our daughter. Sometimes you don’t realize your potential until you have children of your own. She is the reason we started this business.
