We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua, Bovill, MBA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua,, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me more happy than anything in the world is knowing that my wife and son are proud of me. Just the other day, I jokingly said “I don’t feel like working on a video for a client”. My 6 year old son yelled in the room and said “Daddy, you know you’re not supposed to give up”. I laughed because I knew my wife and has instilled something in him.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I left car sales to become a Teacher and Football Coach, I lost a little over $40,000 in income. I knew I had to do something. Since I have always had a love for video production, sales and marketing, I decided to launch a video marketing agency called Rock Hill Video Company (RHVC). What started out as a way to generate extra income, has grown into one of the top rated video marketing agencies in Rock Hill, SC. Since our launch in 2019, we have developed a reputation for the most affordable high quality video marketing, website design, and advertising for some of the areas top brands. Some of our clients include Chick-fil-a, Coldwell Bankers, Knox Contracting, NanoMeld, and NAACP just to name a few.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since a kid, I have always had a fascination with tall buildings. I love going downtown, so I would take them to a roof top restaurant in the city/
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When I was a kid, my mom Regina Duvall would always force my siblings and I to hit the streets with her on a Saturday morning and help her sell fundraisers for the non-profit she started in 1998. I always saw my mom hustling. Even as she was battling her 17-year drug addiction, she always did what she had to do to keep the lights on. This always motivated me. When she got clean and authored books, telling her story, this motivated me even more. My mom is very imperfect, as we all are, but she is my Shero!
