We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshjuan Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshjuan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process when starting The Impel Project was to make sure brilliant individuals did not waste their talents. I always hated to see family, friends, and co-workers abandon their full potential because of internal and external factors. Sometimes people just need a little push or motivation to take the first step into their goals and dreams. In life there are winners, losers, and people who haven’t discovered HOW to win. The Impel Project shows individuals and organizations how to win through developing an action plan and being that support system when going after new goals and dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from other coaches is that I am direct and to the point. The Impel Project focuses directly on your goals and how to take the first action step towards them. My mentor, Willard Brown, reminded me to take action and not be another face in the crowd. He was the reason I got into entrepreneurship and his advice is the same energy I implement with my clients after every coaching session.

Starting a business or new goal is never easy, but the key is to keep your goals strong and always have your WHY nearby. This will give you the strength to keep going and never give up. I learned there will never be “the perfect time” to start a business so taking action NOW is the perfect antidote to self doubt and fear.

The Impel Project knows life happens and is here to protect your goals through any mental or physical challenges. We remind people of ALL ages to invest in themselves and highlight the skills and talents that made them into the people they are today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
ATL has some great spots! I would start off with Ponce City Market. The mixture of food, fun, and nature is unmatched. After exploring the city market I would take them to one of many sporting events with the Falcons, Hawks, or Braves. Downtown ATL has some of the best bars, scenery, and people you could ever imagine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank my family and friends for their consistent support. Thanks to my clients for the privilege to be apart of their growth and prosperity, Special thanks to some great professionals: Jasmine Phillips, Cameron Mitchell, Tiffany Perkins, Dorcas White, and many others I have partnered with that aligned with The Impel Projects vision and helped me grow as a person and professional
