We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Fitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josh, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is something I love to do actually an it has made me successful in life! I dropped out of High school as my first risk in life and I took a huge risk leaving behind a good barbering career of 10 years in my hometown of San Antonio Tx to gain a great barbering career in Atlanta Ga and I’ve doubled my yearly income in 2 years time after starting over with zero clients……. So that was my biggest risk yet biggest reward

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a Master Barber of 14+ Years . I feel like what sets me apart from other Barbers is not just about my skills as a Barber but my customer service and what I offer my customers beyond just barbering. I build real relationships with people every single day and become somewhat of a therapist , a friend , a mentor , a tour guide , a positive outlet for having high level conversations and so many other things. I got to where I am today because of the people I service every single day. They have helped propel me to success in life along with my own ambition. Starting over in atlanta after 10 years of barbering in another city wasn’t easy at all but I had faith that things would always get better because I knew I had something more to offer then just being your average barber. I had purpose in life not just a chase for the money. I learned along this journey that sometimes you just got to jump off the cliff and learn how to fly on the way down! I want the world to know that no matter what you do in life that if you have purpose you can achieve any amount of success you want. Your success shouldn’t be defined by anyone else’s because your running your own race an your doing it with your own personal purpose!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has so many dope spots to offer it just really depends on your vibe in all honesty …. I really enjoy the lamb chops at Poor Calvin’s …. Boogaloos has a Great vibe on Sundays for brunch and you can watch the games …. Hawks games are amazing …. If your into the outdoors Stone Mountain is fun an it’s plenty of parks all around the city and the beltline near ponce is fun also!! You really can’t miss out here there is definitely a vibe for everybody!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Man it’s so many people that I could shoutout but I’ll start with God an give praise to the Most High for always blessing me!! Second id like to shoutout my mom because she never gave up on me an always believed in me when others didn’t!!
