We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, what inspires you?
I am inspired by my family, challenges, happiness and ambition.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Jordan Williams Photography was started in 2018. My interest in photography began after watching a popular photographer on YouTube. After a while, I saved enough money and eventually purchased my first camera, a Sony point and shoot. My brand was created to further my photography career in hopes to become one of the greats. My goal is to be able to use my platform to give back to others that have a creative mind and loves art, just like myself. Art has been a big part of my life. Growing up I’ve always had dreams of one day being able to direct a movie, music video and to produce music for artists while still doing photography.

First, my creativity sets me apart from others. I’m able to add value to my client experience by providing better locations, props as well as having a unique stlye of photography. Another way I stand out from other photographers is the quality of my work. I love my images to be sharp, bright and very visible. Furthermore, the images I take must tell a story. Last but not least, my passion and personality plays a big role. During my photoshoots, I’m able to put smiles on my clients’ faces and leave a lasting impression. I love what I do.

I’m most proud of how far I’ve come and seeing my progression throughout the years. No, it hasn’t been easy. I didn’t have the clientele in the beginning so I wasn’t able to create as much as I wanted. I overcame the challenges by remembering every failure, going back to the drawing board and practicing until I perfected it. The first lesson that I have learned along the way is to not run but walk. This lesson is deep because I’m sometimes in a rush but I have to remind myself to slow down. The next lesson I’ve learned is patience. Being patient may seem like a long time but the wait is worth it. Last but not the least, I’ve learned a lot from others. Taking the time listening to other people experiences, advice and reading will take you to another level.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I would have to take them to my favorite restaurant for some great Caribbean food, called Jamaican Ire. My favorite is the Ox Tails. Next, I have to take them to Gather GVL . It’s a spot where you can grab food and hangout. It’s many places to visit here. Last, We have Frankie’s fun park, Spare time, smash house, Go kart tracks and Axe throwing for extra fun.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First I would i like to thank God and give him all the praise, glory and honor for blessing me with this opportunity to be a photographer. I would like to give a shout out my mother Stacy Williams-Harris, she has always been my biggest supporter. Every time that I post on social media my mother is always the first person to like or comment on my post. Next, I would like to give a shout out all of my family and friends who supported me from the beginning of my journey. Last but not least, I would like to thank all of the photographers who gave me advice and took the time out of their days to teach me everything that they knew about being a photographer.
