We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Welch and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business, Golden Phoenix Branding, is a business consulting company that also specializes in graphic design and digital marketing. My business was founded for the purpose of assisting new business owners and entrepreneurs with starting and developing their brand to meet the standards of a general corporation. It’s common in this era of time that the everyday person wants to start a business or side-hustle but doesn’t necessarily have the proper knowledge, education or even right direction to begin. I provide the creativity, digital material, knowledge of the business depending on your desired industry and provide the resources recommended for successful growth!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The beginning of my business development was a bit of a struggle to say the least. I’ve had many ventures prior to my current business model. I’ve sold sunglasses, started a clothing line for streetwear, dabbled in credit repair (until it was illegal in the state of GA) and even had other ideas I never implemented. I decided business consulting was right up my alley considering my knowledge of most industries and how their marketing works from countless previous research. I studied business management in college and interior design at Interior Design Institute. I’ve developed many resources, strategies and immense knowledge of what I do over the years to perfect my craft and help educate and empower all of my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me personally, I like to indulge in nice, well-made cuisine with a nice ambience and fun drinks to sip. My favorite spots in the Atlanta are “Nick’s Westside” off Brady Ave.. the food is amazing. The chef is the owner and he uses only the freshest produce to cook each meal and has a mixologist at all times curating new drinks. The setting, inside and out is phenomenal and it’s very peaceful. They’re good for business meetings or a fun date night or chill dinner with friends. Another delight I would recommend is “Amarino” in Lenox mall. They have the best gelato ice cream that they decorate into flowers and shapes for customers with a wide range of flavors. While at Lenox, you MUST visit Neiman Marcus located next to Tesla for a quick shopping spree. My favorite Thai food restaurant is located in Duluth, GA called “Sweet Octopus”. They have some of the best Pad Thai and Sushi Donuts! I know it sounds weird but if you’re a sushi lover, it’s a must-try!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest motivation has always been the people close to me that I’ve watched develop into very successful individuals. To be specific, one of my closest friends, R’Moni Clark was and still is my main inspiration in business ownership. Watching her mold herself into the intelligent and beautiful woman she is feels like a blessing. I aspire to be as courageous and fearless as her. She kept pushing her business even from the beginning when we were in High-school. We didn’t attend the same school but we always kept tabs on each other through social media and grew a bond I will always cherish. My goal is to match her energy through and through and be able to walk in her shoes one day. That may be a small goal to some but a huge one to me. Being able to experience stellar humans like her is an absolute honor.
