We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Hambrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Great Power Great Responsibility! I Have learned that everyone wants success, but few are willing to make the sacrifice. My Parents instilled in me at a very young age that if you want anything in life you are going to have to work hard for it. Great success comes to those that are willing to work for it. I apply this statement to every area of my life. It pushes me when I want to quiet, and motivates me to keep pushing no matter the challenge.

What should our readers know about your business?
Food is the one thing that brings us all together, and my business MyKitchen is the place to make that happen! What is MyKitchen? We are a group of food service professionals that built a platform that will offer a variety of food to our community. There are levels to the MyKitchen concept. We are a Ghost kitchen platform for some, a commissary to others, and a product selling tool for many.

One of the hardest decisions in ones life, is making the decision to start the journey toward entrepreneurship. One of the greatest discoveries in life is unwrapping the gift God gave you. Coming into the place of accepting that gift, can be an overwhelming moment. Moreover, I believe accepting that gift is the key that unlocks the door to all of our life’s successes.

Embracing that gift will have you looking in the mirror questioning the person that gave it to you. Are you sure this gift was for me? How in the world am I going to unwrap this? How do I put this together? Am I qualified for the tasks ahead? And the biggest question of the day is, am I ready for the life long commitment that’s required to carry this gift around.

If your journey has been anything like mine, I picked up the task and dropped it several times due to fear. I finally came to the place of realizing that a good place to start, is at the place I Kept stopping. I finally realized that Somethings didn’t happen, because I didn’t make them Happen, and no one was at fault, for my procrastination. I believe we all have some dreams we need to revisit. We have an opportunity to change the way our families live, and how their children live. We have an opportunity to do business a different way, and I’m glad we are doing it together!

One of the greatest lesson I’ve learned, is to treat every journey like a cruise-ship, and not a ride on a speed boat. Take it one day at a time, and embrace every moment he gives you. Moreover don’t get comfortable riding on the ship, because you never know what the journey will call you to next. Every time I think I’ve fully unwrapped the gift or mastered putting the pieces together, God quickly lets me know there is more to it than what I thought.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly this is a tough one for me to answer because I’m such a homebody… I would say take a trip to MyKitchen, everyday for lunch because you can try 4 different restaurants everyday. MyKitchen has Vujee Vegan, Big John’s BBQ, Clover Bees, and Bulldog Chicken and fries under one roof. Also don’t forget the desserts from Laura’s Way, juice from Pours and Potions, or the cinnamon rolls from Jacobies Bread Basket. Most definitely start your morning off with a trip to honest coffee downtown Huntsville. Check out Oshie Pokie Bowl downtown Huntsville, or Champy’s in Madison for dinner. If you are into food trucks seek out Forever Grateful, New South Hot Dog and Sushi, Happi Pappi, or Mac & Snack, you won’t be disappointed. I feel like I’m going to get in trouble naming food spots. My itinerary will get you fed good, someone else will have to point you in the direction for entertainment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a lot of persons that I could give a shout out too, because so many have played a major role in my success. Moreover the first person that comes to mind, Hands down is my mother, Pamela Hambrick! This woman is the true meaning of what motherhood is all about. She has truly been by my side through the good, bad, and ugly. My Fiancé Laura Hyter always has my back, and motivates me to the max! My children Samuel and Taylor Hambrick motive me to get out of bed everyday, and they don’t realize it yet.
