We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnny Wolfe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Johnny, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
As a parent. The most Important thing you can teach is delayed gratification and finishing what you start. . I make sure my kids stick to a daily schedule and are rewarded after following through on multiple tasks. I don’t let them quit.
They won’t always get it right but they learn that you have to work for what you want and you won’t be great at it until you put the work in.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a full service accounting firm who’s focus is to bring financial literacy and long time hidden financial loopholes to under represented communities.
I went to one of the worst high schools in Indianapolis, Indiana when it comes to drop out rates and graduation rates. I know what it’s like to be passed through grades without truly mastering skills and learning financial tools to help us life.
I’m here to close the gap.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So many people. I was one of those kids who was a class clown but was smart so everyone saw potential in me. I had a huge village growing up.
For this interview I’ll shout out my fraternity brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. Once joining as a sophomore in college, i was held to a high standard when it came to my personal brand as a man and as a student. I went from being on academic probation to becoming a deans list student.
