We had the good fortune of connecting with Joely Jimenez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joely, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
One of my most impactful takeaways from a book I read called “Atomic Habits” is the concept that ‘you don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your system.’ This resonated deeply, as I realized that small, consistent habits can lead to lasting change.

One thing I struggled with was procrastination. I focused on cultivating habits that promote action, regardless of motivation. One effective habit I’ve developed is creating and reciting daily affirmations. By starting each day with positive affirmations, I’ve experienced a significant shift in my mindset and approach to challenges

I also implemented significant changes to my schedule and routine. By utilizing a planner to meticulously plan out my day, I’ve been able to prioritize tasks and stay focused. Having a detailed plan in place allows me to hit the ground running each morning, rather than scrambling to get started. As the saying goes, ‘stay ready so you don’t have to get ready’ – this approach has helped me maximize productivity and efficiency.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Juggling mom life, friendships, and a career was tough. I had to sacrifice sleep and make significant investments in myself. But here’s the thing: most people don’t prioritize self-investment, and that’s what made all the difference for me. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it in the end.”

I’m humbled by how my online beauty and wellness shop has grown. What started as a venture for my daughter has become a platform for fitness, faith, and community. I’ve learned that trusting in God and staying true to my purpose is key to success. For me, it’s not just about making sales – it’s about caring for people and making a positive impact. That’s what drives me to keep pushing forward.

For me, it’s not just about building a successful business or accumulating wealth – it’s about creating a lasting impact. Value can’t be measured solely by money; it’s about the positive difference I can make in the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
With my best friend visiting, we’d have an unforgettable time! Our adventure would start at the ninja obstacle course (located on Noble in Brooklyn), where she’d push her limits and have a blast. Next, we’d take in the sights of NYC – Times Square’s energy, the Empire State Building’s panoramic views, and the Statue of Liberty’s iconic grandeur. For a taste of great Mexican cuisine, we’d head to Eloras. Dinner would be a sophisticated affair at Ocean Prime. We’d also get creative in a pottery class and enjoy a relaxing picnic in the park, complete with scrapbooking supplies and a Fuji film camera to preserve our memories.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Austin Dotson, a fitness digital creator and good friend, played a pivotal role in my transformation. His guidance, advice, and mentorship helped me recognize patterns that were holding me back and push beyond my limits. With his support, I was able to break through barriers and achieve growth in my career and personal life. His IG is: @ADOTTY10
