Meet Joe Rollins | Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joe Rollins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joe, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
We believe a strong community is one that works together. That’s one of the reasons why we love working with other small businesses. Our goal is to help connect these businesses to the community and we want to help by creating a positive culture that gives support and celebrates its ideals. We love working with people who love what they do and want to make a difference in their community.
Working with small businesses to get their message out there and let people know who they really are in the core of CFF Media. It’s important to realize that every company is unique and has its own story and when we work with these businesses, we make sure we have an understanding of this before we do anything else. After that, we can then work one on one to create custom-tailored content to communicate a company’s values through stunning visuals and creative design. At CFF Media, we strive to tailor each project to best embody each company’s vision.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
CFF Media is centered around the idea of building relationships. Our very existence as a company has been through the culmination of strong bonds among one another. As kids, we grew up loving each other’s company and the shared passion for creativity. We enjoy each moment working together and try to reflect that outwards with every client we work with. As members of CFF, we began to understand that there is joy in each project, starting with a business relationship, then eventually, striving towards a friendship. This became the focal point of who we are today, and we were able to see this in the very early stages of our careers. To recognize this as strength came easy, the tricky part was helping others perceive this as a strong and pragmatic approach. Coming from a stance of friendship was a complicated task in the business world. A lot of companies and individuals alike sometimes believe an approach of this nature could reflect poorly on our overall end product. As if it meant we wouldn’t be capable of meeting a “professional feel” that our clients strive for.
Now, this became quite the hurdle for us trying to find our place as a company. How can you trust those without work to show? A question that made us realize we needed to get out and offer videos to companies. The content we could release to people at no cost to them; content we were truly proud of that would begin our very own CFF portfolio. We reached out to local businesses throughout the Atlanta area to see where we could help others through our services while expanding our expertise.
For a while, we created these videos for businesses in exchange for a single Google review. Looking back, it sounds absurd, but we had to build our portfolio to get our feet off the ground. It turns out, many of the free videos we made back in 2016 still attract clients to this day. We have always strived to make quality content no matter the budget. We really are just having fun doing what we love.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If it’s a week-long trip and my friend has never visited before, then, of course, we will start by checking off the big ones. This would include Ponce City Market and the Beltline, maybe even Varsity, Piedmont Park, and the aquarium. I’m sure one night would include catching a show at Whole World.
After that, I’d take them up to spend some time in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. We’d probably visit Blue Ridge and Canton and do some hikes up there. I encourage anyone visiting Atlanta to try and take some time to get up north. The drive isn’t bad at all and I promise it’s worth it!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Obviously number one: my parents. I don’t think any of this would be possible without their unconditional love and support. There were times in the beginning when it was tough, but they never stopped believing in me.
Also, I want to give a shoutout to the people that trusted us enough to partner with us early on in our career and for sticking with us, even still to this day. I know it must have felt like a gamble, but it gave us the opportunity to showcase our skills and helped us grow into the company we are today.
