We had the good fortune of connecting with Jodie Brim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jodie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I started my business, my ultimate goal was to create a sense of freedom in my life. I spent five amazing years in a corporate role and I’m beyond grateful for that experience because it laid down the foundation for me to build a profitable and successful business. When I first started on this entrepreneurial journey, I had no clue about running a business. I just figured it out one step at a time and went to YouTube University for everything!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my ability to see the incredible potential in others, even when they may not recognize it themselves. It brings me so much joy to be able to shine a light on their strengths and help them realize their untapped potential. I also have a knack for helping others discover ways to increase their revenue. I get really excited about helping people make more money without sacrificing their well-being. I got where I am today with extreme grit, never giving up, no matter the obstacles I faced along the way. But it’s not just about the hustle. It’s also about taking the time for self-reflection. I’ve discovered the power of pausing to consider how my life truly feels. Do I like the way it’s going? How do I want it to feel instead? Asking myself these questions has truly been a game-changer because it allows me to align my business with the life I want. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way, are to (1) always have a backup plan. Life has a way of throwing unexpected curveballs our way, and being prepared with a Plan B keeps us ahead of the game. (2) Don’t be afraid to ask the question. You never know what opportunities could open up simply by mustering the courage to ask. (3) Get comfortable with hearing the word “no.” It’s not always easy, but rejection is just a stepping stone to success. (4) Remind yourself that for every “no,” you’re one step closer to that life-changing “yes.” (5) Life is tough, and building a successful career or business is not easy! But we are capable of more than we realize. (6) Lastly, pivot when necessary. If things aren’t going as planned, it’s okay to change direction.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I don’t live in Atlanta but here are these are the places I’ve been eyeing on my Instagram feed, just waiting for the perfect food tour. Arnette’s Chop Shop, Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, The Garden Room, and Marcel. .

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband. He’s my ultimate cheerleader, business coach, and unofficial therapist. He’s there for me every step of the way, even when he may not fully understand my vision. He believes in me and supports all of my big ideas. When I need a reality check, he calls me out and helps me course-correct. I’m incredibly grateful for his unwavering support and honesty. I cherish our partnership and the love we share. Having someone like him in my corner makes all the difference as I navigate the world of business and pursue my dreams.
