We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Levin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what do you attribute your success to?
Listening to my clients and truly hearing what they are saying. It is one thing to take a meeting with a new client or even an existing client and think you are listening to really be thinking about what is the next great idea or suggestion you want to give. I believe that everyone on the team has a voice and I treat everyone with respect. The biggest respect you can give another person is to listen to them and really hear what they are saying and take it in.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The road to being a great digital consultant has not been an easy one. The saying “advertising is not for the faint of heart” is completely true. I’ve built my way through many long hours waiting on final adjustments to be made to websites, anticipating client feedback at the 11th hour before the deadline for production, team members losing their shit because of egos, all for the sake of an ad. There have been many great times that can far outweigh the bad being part of teams launching new products, defining a brand’s identity, learning what’s next to come out on Instagram or Facebook. The richness of the teams and brands I have worked on in the past make me invaluable today to clients. I know how to handle tough situations but I also know when to walk away from those situations as well. There is a thrill I receive when working with new teams and really guiding them on a great digital roadmap.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The week would include working outside at Switchyards Ladybird Groves & Mess Hall. Taking walks along the beltline. Introducing them to amazing clients over at @wearecreativedrive to see their amazing production studios. Definitely would have dinner at my friends’ restaurant at Bocca Lupo ( Anna & Bruce Logue) incredible food! Take them to see Atlanta United as we are season ticket holders and love going to the games. And take them to see the amazing work being done at City of Refuge Bruce Deel is an incredible leader in Atlanta and has changed lives helping transition through from drug addictions, sex trafficking, homelessness into better lives.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Jeremy Levin. I would not be where I am today if not for the support of my husband. He is a constant in my life to push me to believe in myself and to find what makes me happy.
