Meet Jessica Jená | Mom, Purpose Coach, Founder of the Jessica Jená Podcast, speaker and educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Jená and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica Jená, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
One of my favorite books is “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. This book made a huge impact on me because it reminded me that we each have a purpose and that nothing happens by happenstance. If pay attention to the “omens” we will end up exactly where we are meant to be when we are suppose to get there.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been an educator for 8 years. I’ve taught grades 4th and 5th and I am currently a math interventionist who supports students in grades 1-4. My proudest moment as an educator has been teaching an all boys class. I learned so much from them and grew creatively as a teacher. The most challenging thing about being an educator is sometimes feeling unappreciated.
What I want the world to know about my story is that I’m not perfect but I serve a perfect God who has used everything that I have ever experienced for my good and for his glory. I use my story and brant to help women understand that they are seen, heard and loved by God and that they were created on purpose with a purpose regardless of their past mistakes.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting I would take her to have some ramen! Nothing feels better than some authentic ramen. We would grab some drinks and enjoy some bowling at The Grand. My best friend is Jamaican so I would definitely take her to grab some Jamaican food while enjoying some drinks and cool music vibes. The city I live in isn’t that exciting so we would probably have game nights at home and binge watch movies.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to my daughter for being my motivation to step it up, my boyfriend for his patience and support and my parents and brother for always loving and supporting me.
