We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Fields and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
If you only talked to me for five minutes, you’d quickly learn two things: I love art and travel. Growing up as a military brat, art has been the biggest constant in my life. My creative journey began at an art school during my elementary and middle school years, followed by upper-level art classes in high school. There was never a question about my future—it was always going to be something creative.
At 16, I started college to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Communications and added a minor in Engagement Marketing to satisfy my analytical side (I have always enjoyed being both creative and methodical—a combination that often seems paradoxical).
My passion for creativity evolved into a career choice as I realized how much joy it brought me and how it could impact others. A creative career allows me to combine my love for storytelling, design, and innovation, helping businesses connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. Turning visions into reality and seeing the tangible results of my efforts is incredibly fulfilling. It’s not just about the work, but the journey of bringing ideas to life and making a difference through creativity.
Simply put, I don’t know a life without creativity. People also like to tell you that you can’t make money with an art degree, so I had to prove them wrong.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting a business was years in the making. I knew the amount of work it was going to take and wanted to do it right. After 7 years of freelancing and corporate experience in social media management, branding, project management, and production, I started Harbor 26 Studio.
Harbor 26 Studio is a social media marketing and creative agency navigating brands towards new horizons and connections, specializing in creating well-branded content. We say that because with us, you don’t have to choose between strategy and design.
We help businesses stand out by offering services in social media management, consulting, and photo + video production. We don’t just create visually stunning content; we back it up with data-driven insights to ensure every piece of content achieves its full potential.
I’m incredibly proud of the diverse range of clients we’ve worked with, ranging from start-ups to billion-dollar brands. Seeing our strategies translate into tangible results and client growth is the most rewarding part of what we do.
We are growing fast and have learned the importance of staying agile and responsive to trends while maintaining a clear focus on our client’s core needs. It’s this balance that has allowed us to remain relevant and effective in a rapidly evolving industry.
Having an online presence for your business is crucial. Curating creative, strategic content that resonates with your audience can be time-consuming and overwhelming for busy business owners. We take that stress away by posting with purpose, building a loyal community, and helping our business grow.
