We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I would love to say that I’ve always known that I wanted to start my own photography business but if I did I would be telling a lie. Jess Snapped It Photography started off as a hobby. It wasn’t until months after getting my first camera that I even decided to take shooting more seriously. I honestly had no intentions on it blowing up the way that it did, but I’m beyond grateful for all the support everyone has shown me thus far.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The journey to Jess Snapped It Photography has been nothing short of amazing. One of the things that keeps me going is the ability to provide my clientele with long lasting memories. Nothing excites me more than logging onto social media or walking past someone’s fireplace and seeing my work posted for everyone to see. Being apart of those special moments and creating memories that’ll last a lifetime is everything and more to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had to choose one of my favorite spots to visit in Atlanta, I think Ponce City Market/The BeltLine would be number one. If you’re looking for good food, great scenery, friendly people and anything else you could possibly think of, PCM is the place to be!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to take a moment to thank everyone who has pushed, supported, and been along for the journey since day one. Entrepreneurship isn’t for the weak and I don’t know where I’d be without my support system.
