We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Inglima and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
All four of us in Everyday Dogs (Jesse Inglima, Julian Inglima, Tyler Griffith, Jack Gregg) are incredibly passionate about music. We have all spent years honing our craft as musicians, and that manifests itself in the desire to write, record, and perform songs. It’s something where we all feel the need that this is something we have to do, and we couldn’t imagine our lives without it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Everyday Dogs is an example of breaking music down to its most authentic version. While putting together our album we decided to record without a click track and minimal overdubs. We wanted to write and create music that sounds just as good (if not better) in a live setting instead of overproducing and overcomplicating things. Doing so after practicing and perfecting all of our parts and arrangement leads to a totally unique snapshot in time. Those moments are what brings the tunes to life and that were proud of.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Athens is an incredible city to visit and explore. First and foremost, there’s always a great show to see different artists and bands at Georgia Theatre, 40 Watt Club, and plenty of other spots. As far as food goes, Little Italy’s is some of the best pizza you’ll ever have, so can’t recommend it enough.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of our families: Our parents, brothers, and sisters who have supported and encouraged us to follow our dreams from the moment we each picked up our instruments.
