We had the good fortune of connecting with Jermaine “Maine” Rucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jermaine “Maine”, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The process behind my brand was simple. I’ve always felt as if i was independent in life. I knew when I got older I’d like to own my own business and make my own money making my ceiling limitless. Knowing myself, I’m unique. Everyone describes me that way as well. Being from Detroit, we carry a lot of slang and lingo. At the time our hottest slang term was, “Motion.” If you have, “motion,” you’re succeeding in life or, “moving,” up or forward in life. Reaching your goals or making money; moving forward from where you started off at. So i wanted to started a movement especially since the pandemic in 2020 in when everyone was finding and making ways to make A LOT of money. So, that’s how i founded MotionCrewWrldwide.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My brands are all about me and made from thought and the soul. I have two brothers who i own another brand with by the name of, “60BuckZTruckZ.” 60 is a point a to point b, junk removal, in house furniture moving, and a loading vehicle company. We’re also recording artist who plans on dropping music soon. Kyle, Keedrick, & I are all entrepreneurs alongside a few of my other brother by the name of Rell, Terrance, Day-Day, & Kell. We all work together and have this big plan to come up together and build next to each other within our businesses, working and promoting each other. Day-Day is also an artist by the name of “30perc10s” where his music can be heard on all platforms, Instagram as well. We stand out because we all are young 19-21 getting stuff done and building together buiilding an empire. We cant lose. Im proud giving how much we’ve expanded. My clothing Brand “MotionCrewWrldwide,” is gaining notoriety within my community and around my peers quick. I’ve gotten my hoodie to a rapper im a fan of in my city by the name of, “ProjectBoy Huncho.” Due to that im very excited for my “Motion CRew 4 Ransom Note” hoodie restock. And as far as “60” we’ve now added a second van to execute moving jobs. Motion Crew is for everyone of all races! So ifyou feel as if you’re having motion come join the motion crew, get in some of our pieces and welcome to the family! MC is the streetwear clothing brand for everyone and everything WAVY and up!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well first, we’d immediately have to shoot to the coney. Coney island restaurant preferably L Georges Coney Island on 6 mile! Might have to grab you a steak or corned beef omelette or Grilled chicken pita or Grilled chicken salad and GOT TO ADD CONEY RANCH! coney ranch is mandatory! Also maybe, Grub Detroit, Yoshi’ HIbachi grille, Xushi KO, & Detroit WIng CO. From there We’d hit the Set, slide to Somerset Mall in Troy on Big Beaver, jump crispy and buy some clothes. Then Mortons Steakhouse is right there, I’d have to swing you in there to buy some of their Lobster Mac & Cheese to go. Then ahow you to my neighborhood then go to the studio. Downtown Detroit is the most exciting on top of little fun things to go do like escape rooms, Painted with a twist, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d just like to shoutout all of my brothers. Shoutout to, Lo (LoTickets artist), Don (Donatellem313 producer), Lano (UFK Lano artist), KT (60BUckZTruckZ owner), Keedar (60BuckZTruckZ owner), Perk (30perc10s artist), Kell, Rell, & T2. They’ve all pushed me and help me plan drops and come up with different ways to release new pieces for my brand. We’ve also all work and help eavh other with all of our businesses with each other. We’re building an empire. You’ll often hear us refer to ourselves as MC (Motion Crew), 60, 60 BoyZ, 60 Wrldwide, etc. Not affiliated with any gangs though whatsoever, “60,” comes from our other business 60BuckZTruckZ where a service we offer to move furniture for people across metro detroit for a fee of $60. “If you can load it in, it’s only $60 then!
