We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremiah McClain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeremiah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In the surreal landscape of a Hollywood set, my reaction after a decade of battling through the fiercely competitive film industry wasn’t conventional. While happiness coursed through me, it was accompanied by an unquenchable thirst for more. Amidst the glamour, I sensed an unfulfilled mission—to not just revel in my achievement but to redefine the game.

Instead of basking solely in my own success, I envisioned a different narrative. I resolved to traverse back and extend a helping hand, pulling up as many aspiring talents as possible. This birthed my passion project—cultivating outstanding actors by providing them with the resources and training needed to thrive in the world of entertainment. In essence, I chose to be the beacon I wished existed for me when I embarked on this journey—a true game changer in the realm of filmmaking.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Great Actors is dedicated to offering professional training to individuals who might not have had access to such opportunities. Establishing this venture was no walk in the park—it was a rigorous exercise in faith that continues to this day. As we evolve into a formidable business, I am determined to broadcast our message to the world: Great Actors is committed to shaping the next generation of performers.

Our focus extends beyond the conventional boundaries of acting. We believe in equipping individuals with essential skills such as public speaking, collaboration training, and fostering creative thinking. This transformative journey is not exclusive; it’s an inclusive endeavor for everyone seeking to refine their craft in the dynamic realm of acting and beyond.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Valdosta’s intimate atmosphere stands out for me, especially coming from a larger city. I appreciate that it’s not entirely rural, offering a blend that feels just right. The culinary scene in Valdosta embodies genuine country cooking, and some noteworthy spots like Big Nick’s, Fin and Feathers, and Ella’s Top Corral make it a haven for soul food enthusiasts. Don’t forget the nearby Peach Shed, where people willingly wait hours for the best homemade ice cream!

What adds to the charm of Valdosta is its proximity to Florida. Whether it’s indulging in the fantastic food scene in Tallahassee, exploring Jacksonville’s live music scene by the beach, or considering the vibrant events in Gainesville – Valdosta serves as a gateway to a diverse range of experiences just a stone’s throw away.
