We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeremiah Griffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeremiah, what principle do you value most?
The principle “treat others the way you want to be treated” matters to me the most. It’s apart of my faith. The exact words that Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 6:31 ring in my ears constantly when I interact with others. I want to show people God’s love because I desire God’s love to be shown to me. Even if someone doesn’t I’m empowered to still show him or her love because it’s positively impacting their life, which I always want to do for others.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a positive influencer and inspiring Marriage & Family Therapist. My wife and I created “Indestructible Marriage” to empower couples and I created “Growth Journey” to to empower individuals no matter there marital status. While I am advancing academically I am advancing in life experiences in order to reach individuals, couples, and families with deep passion and energy. I think my language sets me apart from others sharing content who share content similar to mine. I want to share wisdom and knowledge the way I would if I was sitting on the coach talking to a good friend of mine. I want to be approachable, relatable, and entertaining. I believe that makes my chances of touching other people’s lives stronger.
I am where I am now because I’ve allowed God to teach me lessons from marital, family, and internal conflicts. At one point in time I was vain and even if I have positive advice it was not rooted in truth, grace, and love. When I finally surrendered my myself to God He renewed my mind and heard my heart so I can uplift the world. Without God’s grace, mercy, and conviction I am not able to say and do what I do to help better people’s well being.
I want people to know that Indestructible Marriage & Growth Journey exist because of them. Know that men and women desire to have healthy and successful relationships and personal lives fuel me, as well as my wife, to share the wisdom and knowledge God has blessed us with and develop both brands to be more impactful.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First, I would take my best friend to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Museum & Jimmy Carter Library. Their legacies are inspiring, motivating, and deserve to be viewed. Next, we would go to the Vortex restaurant. To me It’s layout makes it irresistible to go inside. The food and drinks are the cherries on top. Let’s assume there was an ATL United, Hawks, Falcons, or Braves game the next day. So of course I would treat them to a fun experience at either one of those games. ATL sports pride is real and we would have to join in the cheering, chanting, and chills, and thrills. On an early morning I would take him to climb Stone Mountain. The challenge and calories alone are not what I love. It’s the diversity of people who frequently or occasional push themselves to the top, where the view is breath taking. Last, I would take him to my church Peace Baptist Church in Decatur, Ga off of Covington Hwy, where my Pastor Barnette will give a powerful word that will touch the mind, heart, and soul.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course there is and it’s my wife, Stasha D. Griffin, of 8 years. Ever since God brought us together July 4, 2011 she has been super supportive, loving, and my accountability partner. As a great women of God in my life she has helped me mature into the man I am today. Thank you Boo Boo!!!
