We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, do you have a budget? how do you think about personal finances?
Yes, I am always mindful of my spending habits. I be thinking to myself do I really need this or just want this? I am very good at saving money. I don’t want to go back to living paycheck to paycheck. I don’t try to impress people with wearing designer clothes, or expensive purses. I think about my future not my right now that is what keeps me in line when it comes to saving money and budgeting my money at all times.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I first started my journey into entrepreneurship 5 years ago. Over the course of 5 years, I have built 4 different businesses from the ground up. All In One Tax Services, All In One Properties, Zetta Nicole’ Girls Corporation, Platinum Concierge-JW, and Author of “All In One Tax Services Ultimate Credit Manual”. I got started into business because I was over the point of working for someone else. I felt as if my worth at these different companies wasn’t seen. In my heart I knew I was meant to do more. I worked a lot of jobs that I didn’t like to learn. and to prepare me for the journey to being my own boss. Every business that I have acquired is centered around helping people. I truly believe that it’s one of my callings. I love using my gifts and knowledge to help others in their journey to whatever they are trying to accomplish. I remember being on the other side and no one would help me. So, I make it a point to lend a hand to help others. I got to where I am at today with the help and guidance of GOD. I know I wouldn’t be where I am at today if I didn’t seek GOD.

The lessons that I have learned through this journey is never take no for an answer or think it’s the end of the world. When somethings don’t work out for me at first, I always figure out another way to do it. I learned a long time ago to keep pushing through the uncertainty. Believe in yourself and the vision and focus on that. Never think that everything will be perfect. Whatever you are trying to do and confused and scared of just do it. Whenever I’ve done things, scared GOD never let me fail. Take that leap to whatever you are trying to do in this world and crush it!!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If one of my friends was to come into town I would take them to Navy Pier, the museum of Art, and for dinner Steak 48. We would close the evening out with some grown folks music at a live jazz spot downtown.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to always shoutout my grandmother Marzetta W. Patterson. My grandmother speaks life into me at times when I feel like throwing in the towel. A lot of people have mentors that they pay. I get mentorship from one of the best people that I know. She might not know about business but one thing she knows best is how to pray. My grandmother always lifts me up in a way like no other person can. I talk to GOD first, then her. When I am confused about things, she always makes light of the situation and gives me so much clarity. I don’t know what I where I would be if she wasn’t in my life. She is the true meaning of an outstanding individual that deserves to have her flowers now while she can smell them.
