We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenée Humphrey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenée, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is “Change your mind, change your life.” I like this quote because I believe so much of what we accomplish first begins in what we believe to be true. If self-doubt and disbelief are what we focus our thoughts on, not much positivity can come from that place. I believe that in thinking positively regardless of the situation, we can keep anxiety at bay.

I am a jewelry designer that specializes in small-batch, one-of-a-kind statement jewelry. I am most proud of the evolution of my artistry. Each year I desire to grow in my creativity and design aesthetic. I get excited when I see how the jewelry that I create brings joy to the faces of my customers. I love to know that each piece I create, although not all custom, was crafted especially for its owner and when the owner sees their piece, there is an instant connection. My customers love the uniqueness of my jewelry and the exclusivity they feel knowing there are limited quantities of a particular collection. I feel this is what sets my brand apart from others in the industry. My road to becoming a jewelry designer was not one that I set out to do, but one that I believe God orchestrated for me. My jewelry making began with creating a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day. I have always been a lover of design and fashion, but was never trained in the art of jewelry making. A lot of my journey has been trial and error. Studying components and tools and figuring out what works best together. The road has not been easy, but I’ve been able to overcome my challenges by keeping a willingness to learn and grow and not being stuck on one method of doing things. The lessons I’ve learned along the way have been to remain open to new opportunities in life, be true to who you are and to not compare yourself to others, be ok with putting yourself out there and do not be afraid to test the market with your ideas, and most importantly to have fun. I am a dreamer and an optimist. I truly believe that no matter what life throws our way, we can overcome it with God’s help. I would have never imagined losing my daughter, Joy, coupled with my desire to make jewelry as a gift for my mom, would have taken me down this path. My journey in life is to encourage others with my story and life experiences and to let them know that hope is something they should always cling to. Each new day brings about fresh opportunities and new adventures if you allow yourself the ability to see beyond your current circumstances. My brand honors the life of my daughter, Joy and is a platform for showcasing beautiful handcrafted wearable art.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had to take my best friend to my favorite spots in the city, my list would include the following: 1. Atlantic Station 2. The Battery-definitely stopping to eat at The Yard House 3. Ponce City Market 4. Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen 5. Gumbeaux’s Cajun Cafe 6. The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta 7. 6 Feet Under Pub & Fish House 8. Piedmont Park & Park Tavern 9. Centennial Olympic Park 10. Kennesaw Mountain
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My entrepreneurship journey has been met with tremendous highs and lows. I would not be on the path I am on today if I did not have family, friends, and mentors that have walked with me along the way. I am so grateful to those that have given me advice, encouraged me, challenged me, supported me, and told me to never give up. Some I’ve met and had a personal connection with and those that I have admired from afar. These individuals are way too many to list, but each has impacted my life greatly. A million thanks to you all! The one person I would like to highlight is my husband, Brad. He has been my rock through every season of life. From me leaving the corporate world with a desire to pursue my dreams, to being my biggest cheerleader and supporter, listening to my ideas and helping me brainstorm, taking the kids so that I can work, and just simply being there when I need him. Brad, you are truly God’s gift to me. I appreciate you so very much. Thank you for being there for me and pushing me to be my best! Love you much! ❤️
