Meet Jeigh Billingy | Executive Director & Trauma Focused Licensed Clinical Social Worker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeigh Billingy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeigh, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Mysuspire is a modern trauma focused mental health experience! We combine intervention, education and awareness to provide a holistic approach to ‘regular people and their people’! We help the community by teaching people that their mental health and wellness matters. We inclusively share that no matter who you are you deserve to Be Seen, Be Heard and Be Shameless because mental health matters. We are tech forward with our growing online edutainment content, telehealth intervention services, and our hybrid events that celebrate dope ways to cope with a myriad of mental health experiences. We are growing to take over the South and South/Midwest of the US. We have a presence in TN, GA, and FL. We answer the question of, ” What is trauma focused mental health and wellness and how the heck do I manage it!?” Our vision is to see a more mentally healthy world.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
This business is unique because is tackles a multi-faceted problem head on. It’s not a big corporate animal that can lose personal touch meeting quota’s and objectives. This business was built from the ground up by diverse people who believe in and work towards our message every day: Mental Health Matters. It absolutely has NOT been easy. Overcoming challenges has been slow and complicated. With a small team and limited funding due to our young start up status we have had to work long hours, creative strategies and wear multiple hats in these younger stages. I have learned so much and I am proud and excited that by the goodness of our community and those that have believed in this vision we have been able to provide consistent and quality programming and resourcing. Some of the lessons that I have learned along the way is that no matter who believes in you and supports you, no one is going to believe in you like you do. I have learned that everything is finite and temporary, but passion can be eternal. I want people to know that this story and the brand was born as a professional yet modern, genuine and quality offering to contend with the mix messaging and confusing and questionable standards of mental health media and intervention. Our brand reaches into the community where it often is neglected to share that there is hope, and again, that all mental health matters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, After taking a fun day at the Botanical Garden and strolling Piedmont park, I would kick it at Atlantucky Brewery and vibe out!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many shout outs are deserved. For me, it’s several people. As cliche as it may sound, there are some tough experiences I went through with some teachers from college and an ex that had me questioning my mental health and my value. I recently had an ex business partner tell me, “you’re just a little girl with a big vision” and then steal a ton of my work and labor and then a large grant I worked hard to write. Trauma Focused Mental Health and wellness is about taking the “crazy” experiences we have and turning these tests into triumphs. Healing, growing, releasing is all about taking the ‘invitations’ from the past, and turning them into fuel for a healthy and strong future. From those experiences I learned and realized that so many people both don’t recognize their need for mental health and wellness or where or how to find that help. We shout out Brian Bush, esq, who believed in our vision and helped us get initiated. I also have to shout out my mentor and Aunt, Donna Caesar, for her continued wisdom and support (and unpaid therapy sessions) her hard story has taught me about how to work hard, love hard, play hard and win harder. In fair gratitude, all of our clients, staff and team, and community are the people who I have to shout out – we are all mental health and wellness.
