We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeffrey Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeffrey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Easy answer if because growing up I spent so much time trying to be like other people and do what other people was doing but it never felt right so when I found my place in the fashion industry and realized this was where my calling was I wanted to be the person to help other people who’s calling was in fashion but they just didn’t realize it yet. Plus, I also say every successful person can recognize that their success stems from one moment or one person that changed their life forever. I wanted to be that person for other people.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am proud to say I’m a 17x published model/stylist who through years of dedication, focus, and continued support from my team have one of the leading, upcoming modeling agencies in the country! I, like many other individuals especially of African American ethnicity have suffered from years and anxiety and depression. And it wasn’t until I saw my first fashion show in person that o felt like my 3rd eye opened. Everything was so clear. It was like I instantly knew what was meant for me to be and do in this world. But just because I found my calling doesn’t mean anything fell in my lap. As all creatives experience, I had to fight for my success and prove to people why I deserved their support. In this industry anyone can be replaced and you are only as good as your next project doesn’t matter what you have done only thing that matters is what you are doing . So you have to be innovative and consistent. You have to be a forecaster and always stay 3 steps ahead of the trends ! You also have to be bold and brave and put yourself in room and places with people that are on levels of success and notoriety you dream of daily. I want the world to know that when you are passionate about something you don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way. You often times have to knock doors down when they are not so easily opened !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take my best friend to the Northhighland area of Atlanta because there’s a wide variety of restaurants with a lot of diversity in the type of people you we see and meet from all walks of life . It’s very inspirational just based off of the energy you feel on that area

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate this shout out to my biggest supporter who doubles as my. black board that I run all my ideas by Tramel. Love you baby boy!
