We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Sylvain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
When I started my career in media I knew my end goal was to be the male version of Issa Rae. With JetPakPics it’s no different. I’m lucky to have clients that are in the industry, but I want to pivot into self-serving my projects. Right now alongside my client work, I produce and star in my own Podcast called ” Fuel Up” with my Co-Host Treshaun Blount, I’m documenting my life this year on my Youtube channel, & in pre-production for three short films set to film this summer. by the end of my career not only do I want to stand neck and neck with “Hoorae Media” but also be recognized as one of the most talented actors in the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m happy to have worked with celebrities like Killer Mike, Christina Granville, & the Mayor of Atlanta, Truthfully, I think my most exciting moment last year was going to RDCWorld’s Dreamcon in 2021. Not only was I a big voice during the event, I made one of my favorite videos recaping the event. Seeing it blow up on Twitter & Instagram was so exciting to me. My style of editing is very simple. i just make my videos and films dance to the music that played alongside it. As far as acting If you drive down south to south georgia you might see me in a Lawson’s Auto commercial. As far as acting I’m very technical by nature. small things like arm jestures, face twitches and timing in between lines are some of the thing I focus on while delivering a performance. Some I admire that does the same is damson Idris from Snowfall who takes the same approach.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost you got to go to Mangos. This Jamaican is my go-to food place when I’m hungry, I also love Slutty Vegan. Everyone thinks the long lines are annoying but if you order online it’s the smoothest experience ever. My favorite place is still Cartridge ATL. If you haven’t been you missing out. If you’ve been to Controllerise then you’ve seen a similar setup. amazing games, fun people, & great music. Catch me there every week relaxing there during the middle of the week.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
For “The Shoutout Series” i want to highlight two organizations that have helped me & deserve some love. First I want to shoutout The 411 Brand who have kept me as an in-house contact for their brand for the last two years. through them I have been able to meet some real interesting and talented people in Atlanta. Through them I’ve met Big Tigger, Ty Young, Ash Cash & The Mayor of Atlanta Andre Dickens.

Secondly I have to shoutout CartridgeATL, a black own gaming lounge. CartridgeATL is becoming one of the hubs for creatives to chill, play games, & network on Wednesday nights. I’ve met so many talented people there and have also re-met some of my favorite peers there. If your looking for a dope Wednesday night follow them on Instagram and find there weekly pop ups.
