Meet Jazsper Womack | Cosmetologist & Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazsper Womack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazsper, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I decided I wanted to be a business owner . I was 13 years old. I was already having clients and had my own little income coming in. I did not know that this was the start of making a dream a reality . I was 20 years old when I decided I didn’t want to just be a regular salon owner or cosmetologist. I wanted my brand to be known world wide and recognized for my skills, offering services to celebrities, and networking with well known brands. I honestly didn’t know where to start, what legal procedures was needed to protect my business, or if it was even possible for me to obtain the success I wanted. I had big plans for my life at a very young age and because of that , it helped me trial and error so many times that would later give me the wisdom to know what work and didn’t work . I didn’t know how I was going to do it, but everyone that “knows me,, knows I don’t take No for answer.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider myself as an Artist, because I am very creative. Such a visual person who have the gift to re invent and innovate. I believe my mindset and personality is what sets me apart from others. Any great cosmetologist can recreate a style, but many can not inspire to be a person a client can confide in. To share the art of beauty through self confidence and practicing self positive affirmations can boosts anyone’s self esteem to reflect inward beauty as well as outward. I got to where I am today , through praying , crying, sacrificing, and listening . It has not been the easiest because there where many times that I had no clients and still had bills , when all odds are against you , yet you still do what is needed to take the bigger picture. I’ve learned that nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream but those who are willing to work and are awake , sees visions. I would like the world to know that I can’t wait to see it in my chair. Just Jazee Beauty promises “to provide the best quality, services, and brand to its clients having in mind that they retain the most positive self-image, self- care, and self esteem.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I’ve been here for a little over a year now. I absolutely love the culture here. The first place we would go is to my favorite spa jeju for a day of relaxation, copeland’s has the best strawberry margaritas, so there for drinks for sure lol. I would have to take her to get hooked up at my nail tech Mary of course ! I also create music as a hobby, so I have plenty of friends that are music engineers and we definitely have to sit in the studio and vibe. Atlanta has tons of Day parties and there’s no telling who you will see. My favorite club to attend is escobars and mansions. Downtown at night is my favorite area to be around. Lights, high rise condos, a vibe, people walking there fluffy dogs, bars, it’s definitely the place to be.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my mom and dad. They are very hard working , my Mom is such a strong woman . She always finds a way to do what needs to be done and I am so grateful to have her as my mother. She has a book called Edge Control: On the Brink of a Breakthrough by Vernesia Womack. She is an author and psychologist and has helped me in many ways than one .
