We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazmine McFarlane and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazmine, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factors behind my success are Faith & Service, Faith in God, in myself, and in my clients. My mentor always says “hospitality is a service industry and we are here to serve” I truly take that to heart. Service for me is sacrificing myself for another. And when you hire Jazzy Lady Events that is exactly what you will get. People that give wholly of themselves for the client and the vision.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Jazzy Lady Events is an event planning firm for all events. I’m known most for weddings, but I also do conferences, birthdays, anniversaries, showers, and corporate events. What makes us unique is the heart we have to serve and see our clients have the best day ever, while enjoying life and marriage after the 1 day of the event. I am proud when I see my clients thriving. Then we get to do their baby showers and other life celebrations with them for years to come. It is truly our honor to serve.

Ultimately, I plan to partner Jazzy Lady Events with Jazzy Lady non-profit. I truly have a heart for young girls to know and walk in their worth as true treasures handcrafted by God. To know who they are, and have the proper skills and character to be esteemed and valued as such.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
What makes a vacay fun for me is good food and shopping. So when I have friends/family come visit were going shopping at my favorite malls Lenox and Perimeter, We’re going to hit Homegrown or Thumbs up for breakfast, Hattie B’s for some great fried chicken or Zaddy’s fresh-made sandwiches for lunch. Then dinner at a Fifth group establishment Alma Cocina and Lure are my favs! Play some games at Main Event or Andrettis. Then Sunday service at Jubilee Christian Church of Atlanta.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are several people that I attribute my success to 1. my spiritual mentors & Pastors Peter & Jordan Kanyi for walking with me, pruning me, and speaking me into becoming. 2. My industry mentor Suzanne Reinhard. After emailing every planner in Atlanta for months, she gave me a shot and exposed and developed me. I am forever grateful for her guidance. 3. Last but not least my family, and most specifically my Husband, Malcolm McFarlane. My love has spoken me out of darkness and nurtured me to light. Kept our 3 children by himself for days while I did events in other states, and never once complained. So when you see me as anything resembling success it’s because my husband put in the work. He continues to be supportive and allows me to shine. To all of them I say, I love and I honor you.
