We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazlyn Hughes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazlyn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I was 6 years old I told people that I wanted to run my own business. I was into so many things and very good at them at a young age. I worked a few corporate jobs but none of them felt right or felt like something I seen myself doing very long. It was hard for me to find balance at first but I found balance in doing what I love and now I’m a serialpreneur working solely for myself while being a stay at home mom at 24 years old. Sticking to my initial dream as a child has worked out best for me and I am now comfortable with where I am in life. My self lesson was to never settle and be exactly who you want to be.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I mention any of my brands I always mention that they’re one of a kind. The compassion and time I put into every detail of my products and customer satisfaction alone is what makes us stand out and different. There has been no easy part in my success but I have learned that it is only as hard as you make it. In the beginning, I would beat myself down a lot because I felt things were not as perfect as I wanted them to be until I realized that it is all a part of business growth and development. I am proud of how far my overall brand has come. I take the most pride in knowing that we have served people from all over the world. I hope that we continue to reach people nationally and internationally to spread love, knowledge, and encouragement.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a foodie so I always try and give my best advice on food first. My top restaurants for a week long trip in Augusta Ga would be Jackie Ms and Son, Kitchen Kingz, A&D Buffalo, Miyako, Salt and Marrow, Top Crab, and Cheddars.

For Nightlife I’d refer them to Truth Augusta, Oak Lounge, 3DL, and Downtown Augusta

For Activities I’d refer them to Vance’s Bakery Bar, Augusta Candle Company, AR Workshop, Top Golf, Dave and Busters, Stars and Strikes, Pedal Pub, and Boat Parties

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my family for their support on my journey to independence. My fiancé and children have been such a drive and motivating factor to me being where I am. My intermediate family has always been my first supporters from purchasing, to sharing, and giving their best wishes. I would not be here today without their love and support.
