We had the good fortune of connecting with JaZenn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaZenn, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I’d say working on my art even if I’m too tired, not motivated, or have writers block. Whatever the case is, I just do it with no thought. Falling into a flow state and letting the subconscious do the work. After a while of just working endlessly. You just get used to the work without even thinking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Becoming the artist I am today was indeed not an easy thing, but when you want something you’ll chase it regardless. I spent hours with little to no sleep just trying to perfect the minor details that the regular ear may not hear. I’ve just learned to enjoy the process even on days where it’s slow and uneasy. The process of being an artist is what I enjoy most and I’ll never trade it for anything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m really simple, I go downtown ATL for the vibes. Depending on what I’m feeling I may go to a kickback at undisclosed locations, parks, record stores, and PLENTY of restaurants around the way. No matter where you go in Atlanta, you’re bound to meet people who are similar to you in certain ways and create decent vibes with them.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my mother who became that voice in my head that helped me work endlessly day in and day out.
