We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaylen Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaylen, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
1. Setting Goals
2. Forming ways to express yourself
3. Be nice to you and others

Something that helped me increase more succession in m life now is setting goals. Goals help us develop healthy and new routines that can help clear blurred perceptions. I recommend finding ways to express your mind, safely of course. Be aware of yourself and your thoughts. There are many forms of expression and it’s astonishing. Try new things. You will never know if you like something unless you at least try. I express my mind in an abundance of forms and only obtain and adapt new ones frequently now. Always show love and respect to yourself and others. The more we find peace and love in ourselves, an abundance of that shines bright to those around us. Find your purpose and do not be afraid to show gratefulness. Be that person you need to be and have faith in yourself. Anything can happen.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Crazy to say, all this came from video games when I was young. I meant friends through gaming and that led to us creating a gaming group. We named it and ran with it for about year. After awhile, games turned into real life hang outs. We spent a good amount of time together having fun like teens should. YouTube was already TV to us so I decided to start making videos for fun. Ended up making documentaries and shorts. That led to clothing creation. Sold some random logos i made on a shirt and saw how everyone liked it. Started taking it more seriously and ended up in pop p stores from North Carolina to Virginia. I loved all them. I couldn’t help but use my filming skills to start filming my own commercials for the clothes I would drop. It blew up heavily in High School. That carried over when we graduated. We started riding around more often because most of us acquired our licenses. That stemmed from us starting to mod our own cars. Just like cars became the move for us. Every car event we’ve hosted was an endless amount of fun. We would host these car meets at our local skate park which was another culture we were in also. At this point we went from so many types of cultures. Opposite has done more than I can type right now and will only continue to do that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take you to our shop. My brother Jojo and I own a garage full of personally modified vehicles that would blow some people’s mind. The spot comes with a chill area all around. Gas station in walking distance and food in a drivable distance. The perfect spot to lock in and get some motion going. A lot of rooms for multiple activities.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give myself recognition first. I go hard into the things I create around me I am proud of myself on what ive done and what is next. I would love to say thank you to my fiancé Caroline for all the love and support she continuously gives me along with my family. My Mom, Dad, sister and brothers show love all the time and I am very thankful. To all the OG Opposites, made love to you all always, only wishing peace on your paths. Shout out to all my people who show me love. I am stuck in memories thinking about all the support and fun we all have together. To many more homies.
