We had the good fortune of connecting with JaVaughna Bevel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi JaVaughna, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I think as a mother, the biggest impact I’ve had on my children is teaching them to define success and happiness on their terms. They understated fulfillment is an inside job and I see them daily, going after their heart’s desires.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the founder of WILD Moms Club and host of Unapologetic As a Mother Podcast. Stepping into entrepreneurship has been both exciting and scary. I had to overcome my fear of failing and become confident and courageous enough to trust the process. The biggest lesson I have learned so far is to move on! Failing is a part of success but you have to keep trying. I want the world to know that I am a mother committed to helping other mothers achieve the success and happiness they desire and deserve.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are definitely going to Ponce City Market to explore the beltline! We are going to brunch at Nana’s Chicken and Waffles. I’m taking her to Stone Mountain to get some fresh air and we are certainly visiting the MLK Jr National Historic Park.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Of course! All of my business besties that push me to be a better woman and entrepreneur as well as my amazing life coach, Benir Pierre. And I have to acknowledge how big of an impact Shonda Rhimes’ book “Year of Yes” has had on my life. I say Yes a lot more often because of her.
