We had the good fortune of connecting with Javairia Coleman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Javairia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my business, I was pregnant, coming out of a bad relationship, and trying to get my bearings about myself. I knew that finding work, childcare, and help would be a lot, especially with no money. I tend to have anxiety, but this time, it was in my spirit to pray for an opportunity. I prayed that God would impregnate me with an idea for something that would last.

I ended up having an “ah ha!” moment days later. I had experience and skills being an administrative assistant, I knew how to design websites and I could really achieve any task from home with these skills. This was in 2017. I had no clue that this prayer would have prepared me for a pandemic, easily one of my generation’s most devastating moments.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Atlanta Network Group is now a 4-year-old company! We specialize in social media management, web design, and virtual assistance. We are proud to say that we are in the process of adding membership for entrepreneurs to have resources available for their vision and dream. We are scaling our company to be able to take on more projects.

We will be starting a hiring fair soon for Virtual Assistants and graphic designers. If you would like to apply, please submit your resume and cover letter to office@atlantanetworkgroup.com

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is definitely a beautiful place and there is a ton to do.

As a mom, I tend to have to travel with my children. If you are in Atlanta with your children you have to try:

– Children’s Museum of Atlanta
– Atlanta Zoo
– Georgia Aquarium
– Botanical Gardens
– Piedmont Park

When I’m alone/ having a business meeting:

– RuSans Midtown
– PEERSPACE offices (affordable)

Seriously, try Peerspace for your bulk content creation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I truly have to give credit to God for putting it in my spirit to make a change in my life. My mother inspired me from a young age to want to start my own business. She raised 4 children and still kept her dream alive. She is now running Holland Tax & Business Services.

My grandmother taught me and prepared me for being in the service industry. She helped me learn how to deal with others and even how to set my own prices for the work I would do as a got older.

Without them, I would be back at square one or further behind.
