We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Rayford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
My children and the family i have created is thee best thing in my life. I have a son and a daughter and as their father i strive to make sure they understand that hard work and dedication pays off! I want to show my children that they come from greatness. I grew up watching my grandfather and my father work extremely hard to maintain a legacy to be carried on and on. This is my job now, and this is why i go hard everyday to make my business and the brand I’ve created into something bigger than me. My children deserve to have a life where there is no struggle or hassle; therefore,I pray that the harder i work and set the right examples of balancing life, acquiring knowledge, and having the right amount of love and motivation will surely have a major impact on how they choose to continue our family legacy. As a man this is the most important thing to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe anything in life worth having is worth working hard for. Ofcourse i face obstacles, and i have doubts but i try not to let that fear keep me from achieving my goals. My brand started out as being just a dream until i put the work behind my faith and created something that im excited to pass down to my children. Now we have a branch of several brands/ businesses that are putting work into our community. I came up with BLAK Obedience because as a community i truly believe that as long as we can Balance Life, and Aquire Knowledge, then we will have the obedience to become successful in this world. My story begins with wanting a better future for my children and i am just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being a photographer i come across a ton of hidden gems and places that most people have no idea exists in our city. These places are quiet places with scenic views, perfect for an evening stroll. If food and drinks are on the menu, then i would definitely say an evening downtown wouldn’t hurt! Recently Our downtown has become quite the attraction and you really cant go wrong!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife is my backbone and biggest supporter. My children are my motivation. My friends and family keep me encouraged. And GOD is my strength!
