We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Webb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
The most important decision that I made that contributed to my success was to change my mindset. I always felt as though I had to work hard for others in order to become successful, not knowing that working both hard and smart for myself would be the true road to my success.

Like most people, I was working a full-time job, working hard while making an impressive salary but still feeling as though I was not getting anywhere in life. I was feeling as though I was working through life rather than living life itself. I knew that there was more to life for me and that life would not change for me unless I made changes in my life, starting with changing my mindset.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have always had an admiration for anything beauty, as well as a special penchant for clothing. I admire how a few small changes in a person’s appearance can instantly create a dramatic change to a person’s look and feel. I believe that I was born with an entrepreneurship spirit. I started my first “business” at the tender age of 8, a lemonade stand. Every Saturday, during the summer months, I would sale lemonade outside of our family home. Wanting to be successful, I also incorporated hot dogs and chips with the lemonade. During the off seasons, I created monthly yard sales. And at the age of 15, I acquired my first “official” job, as a Guest Services Agent at Six Flags. After obtaining my first job, I found myself without transportation to that job, but not working was never a viable option for me. So, I walked two blocks to and from work every day, never missing a day of work, until I was able to save up for my driver’s license and my very own transportation. Remarkably, I was able to accomplish both goals in a matter of weeks.

By assisting people as a Guest Services Agent, I eventually came to the realization that helping others was my true passion. So, I began volunteering my spare time at a local non-profit that provided resources to the less fortunate. My caring nature and passion for helping others soon led me to a career in Caregiving, which I took true pleasure in doing. However, over the years, Caregiving began to take both an emotional and physical toll on me. Therefore, I set out on a new career path, I soon became a Customer Service Agent for a major online floral establishment, when suddenly Covid-19 hit, which abruptly but a halt on my newly found venture. I now found myself fast approaching 30 years old, amid a pandemic, my job was now on hiatus, I was a single mother to a 7-year-old, and an “unofficial” distance learning teacher to my son. Honestly this was a very challenging time in my life, but I knew that I could push through and come out even better on the other side. It was then that I decided that I would somehow generate consistent success and happiness in my life. I was determined to first invest in my own dreams rather than the dreams of others. I set a goal to create my own successful company, rather than continuing to contribute to the success of someone else’s company. I promptly formed my very first eCommerce store, BellaRoseCouture.com. The thought that I could manage a business, make an impact in people lives, and grow as a person while growing a business was very intimidating. However, with hard work and determination I am now very pleased to say that I am the proud owner and       operator of a successful business. BellaRoseCouture.com specializes in a variety of women’s flirty, sexy yet sophisticated clothing, lingerie and accessories. Every woman knows that when you look good…you feel good, and who doesn’t want to look and feel good? My ultimate goal is to assist as many women as possible in their desire to look and feel their best 356 days a year through my online boutique, BellaRoseCouture.com where every woman is invited to incorporate a balance of flirtatious and casual, feel good pieces into their everyday wardrobe.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well luckily for my friends, I live in Las Vegas so their week would be filled with lots of exciting places to see and interesting things to do.

We would explore the Grand Canyon by bus, lose ourselves in an escape room, take a trip to the Hoover Dam, take in the view of the Las Vegas Strip via the High Roller Ferris Wheel and by helicopter. We would also visit the Mob Museum, the Titanic Exhibit, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, The Shark Reef Aquarium, as well as a Gondola Ride around the plaza, just to name a few. And of course we would indulge in some of Las Vegas top tier restaurants, such as Hell’s Kitchen, the Top of the Tower, Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Nobu.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my supportive family and friends whose small but defining moments provided real value to my professional life. Their support allowed me to fully engage in starting and growing my company while improving my life.
