We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Deane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
I love the affirmation “ what’s meant for me will be for me. This affirmation is a beautiful and gentle reminder for me to not become overwhelmed with imposter syndrome or count myself out. It reminds me to stick to my vision in hone in my creative talents to make The Good Life Charcuterie what it is today!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Even starting my catering business during quarantine, I definitely had to be aware of the many challenges that the food industry was and is currently facing; and how to pivot when needed. I spent hundreds of hours researching competition and what I could bring to the table that was completely different than everyone else. The biggest lesson I will tell others that when breaking into the food industry be YOURSELF and be prepared to put in the work. I promise you if you put in the work your fruits of labor will be recognized.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a foodie, I always recommend my friends to go on a mini food tour! There are so many places to eat in Atlanta. You can’t go wrong in West Midtown! We’d then tour the city to walk off the food.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be here if it was not for my aunt, whom I consider my mother and favorite person in the world. As an entrepreneur herself, I’ve always been an all and inspired by how she pushes herself to attain her goals while inspiring others. I am forever grateful for her.
