Hi Jasmine, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success as an actor and filmmaker, and the success of my brand, is a combination of passion, perseverance, and a commitment to authentic storytelling. Passion is the driving force that fuels my creativity and keeps me dedicated to the craft, even in the face of challenges.

Perseverance is crucial in an industry where setbacks are inevitable. It’s about learning from failures, adapting to change, and always pushing forward. The festival success of my short films has been a testament to this persistence, as each project presents its unique set of obstacles that we tackle as a team.

Authentic storytelling is at the core of my brand. Whether through acting or filmmaking, I strive to create narratives that resonate on a deep and genuine level. Connecting with audiences emotionally is a powerful tool, and I believe it’s this authenticity that has contributed significantly to the success of my work.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art, both as an actor and a filmmaker, is driven by a deep commitment to authentic storytelling. I believe that what sets me apart is a combination of passion, versatility, and a collaborative approach to creativity. Whether I’m embodying a character on screen or bringing my own narratives to life behind the camera, I aim to evoke genuine emotions and connect with audiences on a profound level.

One aspect that I’m particularly proud of is the success of my short films in the festival circuit. Each project is a labor of love, and seeing the stories resonate with diverse audiences is incredibly rewarding. It’s a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire team involved in the filmmaking process.

The journey to where I am today professionally has been a challenging yet fulfilling one. It was by no means easy, but the challenges encountered along the way have been invaluable lessons that shaped my growth. Perseverance has been a key factor in overcoming obstacles, be it financial constraints, creative blocks, or the competitive nature of the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being that I am still somewhat new to the city myself. I think I would mix a bit of cultural exploration, outdoor adventure and nightlife all together for us to explore and check out the city together.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A special shoutout to my crew, the unsung heroes behind the scenes. From the director of photography capturing the perfect shot to the editors piecing together the narrative, each member of the team brings a unique skill set that contributes to the overall magic of filmmaking. Their tireless efforts and commitment to excellence are the backbone of our projects.

I also want to acknowledge the mentors and industry professionals who have provided guidance and support throughout my journey. Their wisdom, encouragement, and constructive feedback have been invaluable in shaping my growth as an artist and navigating the complexities of the industry.

Additionally, I owe a debt of gratitude to the audiences and festival organizers who have embraced and celebrated our work. Their recognition and appreciation fuel our passion and drive to continue creating meaningful stories.
