We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmin Soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmin, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want my legacy to be that I helped people with my organization. I want Organizations Helping The world to impact as many communities as it can too. I want my legacy to help people realize they can help anyone with just their minds and hearts. I want people to remember that I was for the people and the community. I think you should live by what you believe in and I want people to remember that If I could start a non-profit that they can too do whatever they set their mind too.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud about my organizations YouTube channel. I started it to educate the community and help others. I wanted to help others in a way to educate them about things that I never learned when I was younger. Also to educate them on things that we should have learned in school. I got to this place professionally because I never quit and kept going. I also believed in myself and I never gave up and just kept going with my organization although people thought it was dumb at first. Some of the lessons I learned along the way are that not everybody is going to support you ! I want the world to know that organizations helping the world helps everyone and everything. We want to educate, advocate and help people push for change in their communities.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would go to my dads restaurant called Leon Grill Mexican Restaurant in Landen, Ohio. It’s a Mexican restaurant so I usually like to go eat and chill and calm down and relax.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shout-out to my profesor in college. She was the only one that really encouraged me to pursue social work and keep going with my organization. Nobody really knew what I was doing with my organization and how big it was getting. I struggled finding resources and help until my college profesor really pushed me to keep going and not give up.
