We had the good fortune of connecting with Jandi Pope and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jandi, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
First, I thought to myself “Girl you are crazyyyyy what is wrong with you?” Lol. I really wanted to start my business because I wanted to not only ensure my kids have something when I leave this earth..but also I wanted to run my company how I wanted it to be ran. I’ve always told myself, you can either go after your dreams or help someone else build theirs.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Skin Chateau is dedicated to luxury skincare and relaxation for men and women in the Atlanta area. We pride ourselves on top tier customer service and also results. Getting here took a lot of trial and error, but it was all well worth it. I opened my business right in the middle of COVID, literally when the world was shut down. I had no idea what to do but I knew that I would make it work and here I am, two years later running a successful business. In the midst of all of this I also developed The Skin Chateau Mentorship program which caters specifically to esthetician students and prospective students as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ahhhhh, we would definitely go to Little Five Points, that is literally my favorite place to be in the city. The artistic vibes there are absolutely unmatched, I frequent Crystal Blue and Honey Pot for my spiritual needs and Little Five Pizza lol. We’d also have to go visit Ponce City! My second favorite place in the city. For the vibes, we would go hang at Sivas or Encore because we all love a good hookah session. Its literally so many places I love in Atlanta though.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to definitely give Candace Holyfield Parker aka The Six Figure Spa Chick her recognition on my journey to success. Her story, her ambition, her passion, etc is how I am becoming the spa boss that I was I meant to be.

My mentor Karma Fouch and my business coach Candace Holyfield-Parker aka The Six Figure Spa Chick have really helped simultaneously mold me into the business I am becoming. Being under their guidance has helped me and my business grow so much and I am so grateful they saw the hunger in me. I absolutely love being part of The Spa Boss Tribe.
