We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamiria Hutchinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamiria, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson my business has taught me was that in order to be successful I have to put in just the same amount of work and energy as I would a 9-5. I promote myself on social media, through pop up shops, and word of mouth. I have to continue to make content so people know I exist if not then nobody would know I’m a Creator.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am where I am professionally today because of the support from family and friends. It was not easy to get where I am and it is still some challenges. I had to overcome people saying they did know who I was so they didn’t want to work with me. Some people started working with me after some fellow small businesses were around me and knew how I operate a little. I have learned to just continue to brand my business and put myself out there for the world and they will eventually notice me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was coming down we wouldn’t really be out too much because I don’t really get out but I would introduce her to some cool business that sells things she like. We would do brunch.
Go ride atvs in Douglasville.
I would take her to a Mexican restaurant for drinks and food.
On a Saturday if there is a pop up shop we would stop by one of those.
Go to Cheesecake Factory for some cheesecake.
Have drinks and hookah at my house along with some hotwings.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my immediate family and friend kenyata for always supporting me. I would also like to shout out my girlfriend Terry for helping me alone the way. She helped me with find a name for my brand and push me everyday to be better. I also would like to shoutout my kids Blake and Zach because they always tell me they like anything I make.
