We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamien Watts and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamien, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success if my family back in Louisiana. There’s many times i want to give up, but thinking about them fuels me to keep going!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started watching professional wrestling when i was 6 years old with my uncle Ced and Aunty Chris. They sat my down and explained to me the ins & outs etc. When i seen RVD on tv, i knew that’s what i wanted to do. My mother put me in martial arts when i was 7 & that’s when we realized i was very skilled at combat. I’ve always been the kid flipping around in the yard getting yelled at for climbing trees & houses. There were many challenges growing up where I’m from there were lack of opportunity & the area wasn’t very pleasant. I knew that education and martial arts was going to be my escape.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Come to conyers, GA and check out some professional Wrestling every 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Friday of the month!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to JM modern Jiu jitsu & Raposo Jiu jitsu back at home in Louisiana. There was a point where i was in a dark space in my life and the sport of Jiu jitsu & my professors; Prof. Josh, Prof Eric, Prof Ashley saved me. Moving to Georgia and starting professional wrestling at PCW changed my life. S/O to all my AMAZING trainers there. The best wrestling school in Georgia. S/O to @Alonashootsathletes, she does amazing photography work & her husband Mike does outstanding work in production.
