We had the good fortune of connecting with James Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi James, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Humility. Being humble and genuine open never ending doors for you and anything with your name on it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
2022 I am starting my career as a professional basketball coach. What I feel sets me apart as a coach and a trainer is Patience. I take pride into training and coaching athletes and never rush their process nor mine. I started off coaching middle school with the initial though to help kids. As time went on, I started to develop a thought of taking coaching to the next level so I ran a couple of personal training sessions and was asked to coach high school and from there networking and staying true to myself and what I wanted to accomplish, I landed myself a coaching job in one of the top minor basketball leagues in the country. Getting to where I am as a pro coach is the exciting part. The challenges that I faced honestly was playing experience. I feel ex pros and long time high school coaches we’re getting jobs a lot faster but again number 1 lesson learned is “stay the course, stay humble and stay hungry”.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Downtown Detroit is always going to be the go to area when you visit. Definitely should check out the nightlife such as R and B Tuesdays, Society on Fridays, and Casinos always a good move. Food wise, Mad Crab in oak park for a good broil bag that’s my area plus 24seconds sports bar in Berkeley is another great spot to kick it hang out and have a few drinks

My wife. My number 1 supporter who pushes me the most.
